Miguel “Miggy” Almirón respondió acerca de los comentarios que hizo tiempo atrás el futbolista británico Jack Grealish del Manchester City.
Miggy Almirón, del Newcastle United, jugador del mes de octubre en la Premier League, fue consultado este viernes si los comentarios negativos arrojados en su momento por Jack Grealish le sirvieron de motivación para alcanzar este nivel excepcional en la máxima competencia inglesa.
“Creo que el momento que tengo yo, y el momento que tiene el equipo no tiene nada que ver con eso”, respondió al inicio de la entrevista brindada luego de recoger su premio, de acuerdo al informe de D10.
“Como dije antes, Jack es un gran jugador, le deseo siempre lo mejor, pero no pasa por los comentarios, esto es trabajo, trabajo y mucho trabajo”, agregó escapándose de toda polémica.
En plena celebración del título conseguido en la pasada temporada por Manchester City, el futbolista inglés se burló del paraguayo con una frase “Play like Almiron” (“Juega como Almirón), cargando de paso a su compañero de equipo Riyad Mahrez.
Además de ser premiado como el jugador del mes de octubre, un gol suyo fue elegido como el “Mejor gol del mes” de octubre de la Premier League, tras develarse los resultados de las votaciones realizadas a través de la página de EA Sports para la franquicia FIFA.
El mejor gol del mes de Miggy, se trata del que hizo con una especie de vaselina frente al Fulham, en el encuentro correspondiente a la fecha 9 de la liga inglesa disputado el pasado 1 de Octubre.
